“Suburbicon” trailer is released and it looks amazing!

The Suburbicon trailer has the Coen Brothers written all over it — and that’s because Joel and Ethan Coen wrote the initial script. Matt Damon plays a father living in idyllic suburbia with his family in the summer of 1959, but his run-in with the mob leads to his wife’s murder and transforms this quintessential image of the American Dream into a war with the town’s seedy underbelly.

George Clooney came on to helm Suburbicon at the tail end of 2015, following up on the actor’s directing turn on 2014’s The Monuments Men. The script has since been worked over by Clooney and his writing partner Grant Heslov. Now, as the film heads to screen at the Venice and TIFF festivals later this year, the first footage has landed online through this trailer.

Suburbicon opens in theaters on Oct. 27.

First Clip from Therese with Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Felton & Oscar Isaac

First clip of Therese has surfaced the web! Hopefully there will be more tiny clips featuring Oscar Isaac before the premiere. You can read a great article about it, or simply check out the the clip below.

HeyGuys.co.uk — On the cusp of its debut to the world out in Toronto, the first clip from Charlie Stratton’s anticipated Therese has launched online, giving an early look at what will soon be heading into cinemas followings its festival bow. Elizabeth Olsen leads a stellar cast as the eponymous Thérèse Raquin in Stratton’s adaptation of the classic novel, with Tom Felton, Oscar Isaac, and Jessica Lange starring alongside her.

This bold adaptation of Émile Zola’s sordid novel of adultery and murder in 19th-century Paris places the talented Elizabeth Olsen in the title role, engaging our sympathies and our revulsion in equal measure, until the satisfyingly grim finale.

Starring alongside the leading quartet will be Shirley Henderson, Mackenzie Crook, Matt Lucas, and John Kavanaugh. Stratton is making his feature directorial debut, and is writing from his own script, adapting Émile Zola’s 1867 novel, Thérèse Raquin.

Therese will be making its debut at TIFF in a few weeks’ time, and is set to be released in the US on September 27th. No word yet on a UK release date, but hopefully it won’t be long before it crosses the Atlantic. In the meantime, here’s the first clip from the anticipated film. Smart money says this will be one of the most talked-about debuts at the festival.
