Oscar Isaac Breaks Down His Most Iconic Roles to GQ

Oscar sat with GQ and talked about his most iconic roles in a 15 minutes video that worth the watching.

You might see around on the media mostly headlines talking about the negative parts of X-Men: Apocalypse but he really said much, much more. Like when he met with Nicolas Winding Refn on a restaurant and talked for 4 hours until they aligned what would be his character in Drive. Or when he met with JJ Abrams on a cafe in Paris and did read the whole Star Wars: The Force Awakens script on his iPhone. Or about Inside Llewyn Davis, when he met a guy in a movie set, the guy played in a Dave Van Ronk style and gave Oscar guitar lessons for the movie audition. Or A Most Violent Year, which was filmed near his home, and because of Jessica Chastain which he went to school and Julliard together. He said when he met Jessica he just finished Ex-Machina and was with shaved head and a big beard and she was like “Oh, I don’t know if its the guy we’re looking for”. Or his nerd site taking all the space when he start talking about Ex-Machina.

Rian Johnson directs episode eight, which will reportedly pick up right were J.J. Abrams’ picture ends. Daisy Ridley returns as Rey, the powerful potential Jedi whose way with the Force allowed her to stand against some of the galaxy’s nastiest villains. This time, she’ll get to share more than a silent glance with Mark Hamill‘s Luke Skywalker, who is going to serve as the Yoda to her…well, Luke Skywalker.

The rest of the new cast returns as well, including John Boyega as former Stormtrooper Finn, Oscar Isaac as dashing pilot Poe Dameron, Adam Driver as the Darth Vader-obsessed Kylo Ren (also known in certain circles as Ben Solo), Domhnall Gleason as the sniveling General Hux, Gwendoline Christie as the chrome-plated Stormtrooper commander Captain Phasma, and Andy Serkis as the mysterious Supreme Leader Snoke, who rules the First Order with an iron fist. Of course, a few familiar faces (and voices) return as well, including Anthony Daniels as C-3PO and the late Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa. New cast members include Laura Dern, Benicio del Toro, and Kelly Marie Tran.

“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” opens on December 15th.
